Oh darling, it’s simply divine! It’s simply the epitomy of haute couture, sweetie! Why, it’s… oh, hang on, it’s a Motorola RAZR V3.
Star of the movie “The Devil Wears Prada†(well, kind of the star, after Meryl Streep) is the slim phone from Motorola. Now, we reckon we know why they chose this one:
1. It looks classy, and is still one of the most famous “fashion†phones in the world.
2. Its name is the RAZR. And Meryl Streep’s character is cutthroat. RAZR. Cutthroat. Get it? (Look, it doesn’t have to be funny, it’s Hollywood, ok?)
However, Motorola doesn’t get it all their own way, because there’s another phone in there, stealing a huge chunk of its screentime (We can practically smell a catfight brewing…): The T-Mobile Sidekick III
Now, personally, we reckon they’ve missed a trick when making this film (and yes, we know it’s based on a novel, and they use Motorolas in the novel, but that’s never mattered to Hollywood before!)
If only they’d waited till next month to make it, they could’ve used the LG Prada. That would’ve been the one to use. But, of course, they didn’t ask us.
Finally, we have a question, because we really can’t figure this one out…
Is Meryl Streep, in fact, supposed to be the devil? Or was it merely the author trying to be clever? You tell us, because we don’t know, we were looking for phones during the whole film!
