Today, in famous phones, I present a story that is unusual in that it doesn’t actually contain any phones. Well, it does, but I couldn’t identify them. But then, they were on fire at the time!
Now, there is a reason for them being on fire. In the film “30 Days Of Nightâ€, the whole town is infested with vampires, during a night which will last a whole month. And to stop people phoning for help, they collect and destroy every single mobile phone in town (yes I cried at that bit, leave it…)
So, there’s a big pile of phones, on fire, and I couldn’t identify them (honestly, they were proper blazing)
However… I can tell you what make they would’ve been. See, the film was released by Columbia Pictures. And who owns Columbia?
Sony.
Ten quid, right here, says they were Sony Ericsson! (And if anybody DOES spot what phones they were, then post a comment and tell us, because it’s going to bug me otherwise!!!)
So, anyway, there is a moral to this cautionary tale: if you’re going to go to Alaska, you will need your mobile phone, because if you don’t have it, vampires will eat you…

I’ll have a shot at that tenner. Knowing how precious the bods at Sony Ericsson and Sony in particular are about their brand, the last thing they’ll be doing is setting fire to a load of their own phones.
I haven’t see the film (is it any good?) but my guessing is that it’s set in the USA and therefore they’ll be Motorola phones, afterall Sony Ericsson are trying to wrestle market share from Moto in the US.

Ah but, let’s not forget, they blew one up in “Die Another Day”. Mind you, it was Halle Berry, so they’d probably let her do anything she wanted…
