News has come through to us today, from Mobile News magazine, that Vodafone, the longest-established of the UK’s mobile phone networks, is backing a nationwide competition designed to help raise awareness about, and help prevent, bullying in schools.
Called Cut It Out, the competition, backed by Vodafone, gives schoolchildren the chance to design the actual dreamcoat itself, for the hit West End show, Joseph and His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
It’s a noble goal, but will it do any good? Well frankly yes, I think it will. Not only will the 7 winning designs be used in the show itself, during anti-bullying week (17th-21st November), so not only is it going to raise awareness that way, but it will also raise money, as the winning designs will be auctioned off, with the proceeds going to the charity Beatbullying.
Lesson packs will be sent out to 2,000 schools very soon, but if you want to help raise awareness about bullying, and help make this competition a success (and no, it isn’t limited to just Vodafone users), then pop along to Cut It Out, to find out more about what you can do to help!
Find out how Vodafone are doing more for the community than just selling mobile phones!
